Regardless of what the year's latest trends are, one mainstay for fall seasons will always be texture. Thick texture. Coincide that with menswear's recent infatuation with all things masculine and retro, in this case specifically brogues, and the result is Trussardi 1911's plaid brogues. Adding plaid wool fabric to a classic leather shoe with wingtip accents would seem like an apocalyptic sign of just too much; so not the case. These rightly represent what their Fall 2010 collection came across as and justly offers men a shoe that is essentially . . . well, fall. I mean really, wool and leather; can you imagine anything that connotes autumn more than that? I didn't think so.
